BUSANHAENG / TRAIN TO BUSAN

A career bureaucrat, Seok-woo has always prioritized work over family. He is separated from his wife and lives with his daughter Soo-An, whose only birthday wish is to go see her mother in Busan. When They board the high-speed KTX train at the Seoul station. , little do they know that an unprecedented crisis is afflicting the city or that a young woman with strange bruises managed to sneak aboard before departure. In to time the train becomes the setting for a series of savage attacks that turn the passengers into zombies. In order to survive this speeding nightmare on rails and protect Su-an, Seok-woo will have to join forces with a two-fisted goon, a power-hitting college baseball star, a spunky cheerleader and an unscrupulous businessman.

YEON SANG-HO

Yeon Sang-ho (born 1978 in Seoul) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. He graduated from University in Seoul with a degree in Western Painting.

Yeon's first feature-length animation was the low-budget film The King of Pigs (2011), which drew widespread critical acclaim. It became the first Korean animated film to be invited to the Cannes Film Festival. It won numerous awards at domestic and international film festivals, including the Director's Guild of Korea Award for Best Director.

Yeon continued to make animation targeted at adults with dark, controversial themes. His second feature The Fake (2013) made its world premiere at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, and won the FIPRESCI Award at the 2014 Korean Association of Film Critics Awards as well as several awards at various international film festivals.

Yeon Sang-Ho rose to prominence in 2016 after releasing his first live action movie Train to Busan at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. The film is the sequel to his third animated feature Seoul Station (2016). It is the first South Korean movie to reach 10 million viewers in South Korea and still growing in 2016. The film was critically acclaimed and won a number of awards.
