Jim Sheridan
Jim Sheridan was born in 1949 in Ireland. He moved to the USA in 1982 in order to run the Irish Arts Centre, and directed his first film, My Left Foot, in 1989. His shooting rhythm is characterised by long breaks between films, while his major works are generally oriented towards the topics relating to Ireland and lives of the Irish people, both in homeland and immigration.
