Jorge Michel Grau

 

Jorge Michel Grau was born in 1973 in Mexico. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Communications, consequently graduating with honours in Film Direction from the Centro de Capacitacion Cinematografica (CCC). He started his professional career as a producer of documentaries and cultural and educational programs. Later on, he also studied Stage Direction and Art Direction. As a film director, he has worked on short films from 2003 to 2007, only to appear with his feature film directorial debut with the Somos lo que hay (We Are What We Are), which appeared at the Cannes Festival and New York Film Festival in 2010.
