The Berlin Winner "On Body And Soul" - PostFESTum

On Monday 6th of March in the Grand Hall of Sava Centre, at 19.00 - PostFESTum, will be screened film “On Body and Soul”, an eccentric drama coming from the Hungarian director Ildiko Enyedi, who won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the recent 67th Berlin Film Festival. Her film won three more awards from the Independent Jury:  The Film Critics Association Award (FIPRESCI), Prize of the Ecumenical Jury and the Audience Award given by a jury of readers of Berlin daily newspaper “Berliner Morgenpost”.

On Body and Soul” is an unusual love story of two lonely workers in a Budapest slaughterhouse - the new employee Maria (Aleksandra Borbeli) and her boss Endre (Geza Morćanji) - who realize they are soul mates. The director Ildiko Enyedi, who showcased her talent back in 1989 when she won Caméra d'Or for Best First Feature at Cannes (“My 20th Century”), revealed to journalists in Berlin that the script for her sixth feature film was conceived in a day, and written in just four weeks. What drove her to make "On the soul and body," as she says, is the amount of passion that occurs in people when they discover that they have the same dreams.
