At the cocktail party hosted by the Embassy of Canada, held in the VIP lounge of the Sava Center on March 2nd, Canadian ambassador Philip Pinnington addressed the distinguished guests before kindly inviting them to the film It’s Only the End of the World” by Xavier Dolan. Stressing that this film was awarded a Caesar last year, which is a a significant achievement, he noted that he is more than pleased that the film is a part of the 45. FEST’s program.
He thanked, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Embassy, Natasa Ilic, the director of CEBEF, and her festival team, for the excellent organization and hospitality. He also thanked Jugoslav Pantelic, for the extraordinary film selection, and for the fact that "It is only the end of the world" has been chosen among a number of other great movies. Pinnington expressed his gratitude to MegaCom distributrers, who were a great support, and the director Igor Stankovic, who has done a lot for the promotion of French and Canadian films is the previous years.
Finally, Mr Pinnington thanked Sava Center for making possible to gather in their lounge, and to all the guests for their presence. Kindly, he once again invited them for the screening of the film “It’s Only the End of the World” at 22h.
Nataša Ilić from CEBEF, addressed the audience and thanked the Canadian Embassy for their cooperation, adding that in the future she intends to work on strengthening CEBEF and positioning FEST as one of the leading festivals in the region.
